Case sharing: From 0 to 1, helping American customers achieve dry ice pellet production

June 20, 2024

Company: Texas BioTech Innovations Co., Ltd.

Location: Austin, Texas, USA

Date: May 2024

Background:
BioTech Innovations (hereinafter referred to as “BioTech”) is a biopharmaceutical company located in Austin, Texas, focusing on biotechnology research and cold chain transportation. Due to the particularity of its business, BioTech requires a large amount of dry ice pellets in its daily operations to refrigerate, transport and store its products. As the scale of its business continues to expand, BioTech has found that relying on external suppliers to provide dry ice can no longer meet its growing needs.

Problem:
In March 2024, Sarah, the operations director of BioTech, discovered that dry ice suppliers were unable to deliver on time and in quantity, which seriously affected the company’s operational efficiency. Sarah tried multiple suppliers, but failed to solve the problem. Due to the volatile nature of dry ice during transportation and storage, long transportation and unstable supply increased the company’s costs.

Seeking a solution:
After many investigations, Sarah learned that our company, Xiamen OLLITAL Technology Co., Ltd., is a company specializing in the research, development, manufacturing and sales of dry ice production equipment. Sarah decided to contact us for a one-stop solution.

Initial contact:
In April 2024, Sarah contacted us by phone. After detailed communication, we learned about the difficulties and specific needs currently faced by BioTech. We introduced our company’s dry ice production system to Sarah and suggested that she consider building her own dry ice production line to meet her stable demand for dry ice pellets.

Plan formulation:
In order to better understand customer needs, we arranged a professional technical team to have in-depth exchanges with BioTech. Our technical team went to BioTech for a field investigation and learned in detail about its dry ice usage and specific needs. Based on the results of the investigation, we customized a set of dry ice production system solutions for BioTech.

The solution includes:

Dry ice production equipment: including dry ice pellet machines and storage equipment.

Installation and commissioning services: Our engineers will guide the installation of the equipment throughout the process and conduct commissioning to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
Training service: Provide comprehensive equipment operation and maintenance training for BioTech’s operators to ensure that they can operate the equipment proficiently.
After-sales service: Provide long-term equipment maintenance and technical support services to ensure the stable operation of the equipment.

Customer visit:
At the end of April 2024, Sarah led the technical team of BioTech to visit our factory. We showed them the actual operation of the dry ice production equipment and explained in detail the various performance indicators and operation procedures of the equipment. Through the on-site visit, Sarah and her team had a more intuitive understanding and higher confidence in our equipment and services.

Cooperation:
After some investigation and evaluation, BioTech finally decided to cooperate with us. In early May 2024, the two parties formally signed a contract. Our company provided BioTech with a full set of dry ice production system equipment and arranged engineers to go to its factory to install and debug the equipment.

Project implementation:
After the equipment arrived, our engineering team quickly went to BioTech to install the equipment. After a week of intensive construction, the equipment was successfully installed and debugged and officially put into use. Under our guidance, the operators of BioTech quickly mastered the operating essentials of the equipment and began to produce dry ice particles on their own.

Results:
Through this cooperation, BioTech not only achieved self-sufficiency in dry ice and solved the long-standing supply problem, but also significantly reduced the cost of dry ice procurement and improved operational efficiency. Sarah highly recognized our service and expressed her willingness to cooperate further in the future.

Summary:
This cooperation fully demonstrates our company’s professional strength and service level in the field of dry ice production equipment. We not only provide customers with high-quality equipment, but also provide a full range of technical support and services, helping customers to build a dry ice production line from scratch and achieve stable business development. We will continue to be customer-oriented, continuously improve the quality of products and services, and provide more companies with high-quality dry ice production solutions.
